Hi! I am a Senior Economist at the Center for Excellence in Finance and Economic Research at Bank of Lithuania, and Assistant Professor at Vilnius University. I have a PhD in Economics from the University of Virginia. My previous research has focused on two of the most important macroeconomic events from recent times: the Great Recession of 2008-09, and the Austerity Period of 2010-13.
Recently, I have developed a new local method to solve recursive macroeconomic models that it is particularly well suited to deal with heterogeneous-agent models, with or without aggregate risk. It is very fast, easy to implement, and very accurate. Just to give a flavor, it solves the HANK model with aggregate risk and two risky assets in 0.01 seconds, with Euler errors to the order of -8. You can find the paper in the Research section.
